Then, plant your feet firmly back on the ground with our brand new weekly Yoga class! Or spend your lunch hour learning about local history with Scranton buff Cheryl Kashuba. And, of course, we are always furthering our minds with book discussions and interesting programming. Click  on the events tab for full listing!

Wednesday Lunch Hours, Beginning June 17th at 12:10pm: Stories from Scranton’s Past. Join local historian and Times columnist Cheryl Kashuba as she narrates a lecture series on Scranton’s history. Bring your lunch, or better yet, pre-order it from Outrageous and have it waiting for you when you arrive! Spend your lunch hour munching good food and learning all about the city in which you live and work. $5 per session  covers lecture & handout materials. Every Wednesday from 12:10-12:50, all summer!

Friday, June 5, 6-9pm: First Friday Art Walk with the Illumination Youth Arts Program through the United Neighborhood Center.  Photography exhibit and creative writing performance.

Wed, June 10, 6:15pm: directly after the store closes. Get bent with Beckie Pasqualichio-Sitar, a Holistic Personal Trainer! Join us for one hour of ashtanga/vinyasa flow/hatha yoga, ending with a guided meditation. Beginners and advanced yogis are all welcome. Please bring your own mat. Yoga with Beckie. $8

Wednesday, June 17th, 12:10-12:50pm: Stories from Scranton’s Past w/Cheryl Kashuba. “The Electric City is Born,” the story about the first trolley in Scranton. $5 covers lecture and handouts.

Wed, June 17, 6:15pm: Yoga with Beckie. $8

Thurs, June 18: Everhart Reads book group. This month we discuss Anita Diamant’s classic historical novel The Red Tent. All are welcome. Discounted books available.

Sat, June 20, 12-8pm: Come visit Anthology and Outrageous at ReCycle on Adams, an eco-friendly block party on the 300 block of Adams Ave downtown.

Wed, June 24, 12:10-12:50pm: Stories from Scranton’s Past w/Cheryl Kashuba. “The Frothingham Theater Takes Top Billing,” the story of early theater in Scranton. $5 covers lecture & handouts.

Wed, June 24, 6pm: The Dream – Approaching Our Unknown Self, led by Jung enthusiast Rosemary McGuigan. Class One focuses on the language and symbolism of dreams. Class 2 explores motifs for change, and Class 3 answers questions based on students’ own dreams.  $6 total for all three classes pays for handout materials. All are welcome but please call to register!

Fri, June 26, 7:30pm: Poetry Night. No feature this month, just open mic. Uncensored reading.

Mon, June 29, 6pm: Dream class, part 3. Final class in which students can choose to share their dreams and have their questions answered
