This author was just in Scranton for Pages & Places Book Festival! We read this book as part of our Everhart Reads book group (in conjunction with their Birds exhibit, get it?) and loved it! The novel starts in 1911 with narrator and bird artist Fabian Vas. Fabian inhabits Witless Bay, a remote Newfoundland coastal village filled with quirky characters. The plot includes murder, passion, betrayal, guilt, and redemption. Exquisite – and supposedly David Bowie’s favorite book!
