Anthology does not purchase used books for cash, sorry. You can, however, bring in books for consideration for store credit. We will give you store credit for the books that we choose to accept into our inventory. The credit given is usually $1-$2 for trade paperbacks, $2-4 for hardcovers, and more for specialty items.  We don’t give more than $.50 store credit for mass market novels (those little guys you see in the drug store) simply because they don’t hold up well over time, and we can’t charge much for them in the store.

Your store credit never expires and is good on in-store books only, not special orders.

The unwanted books are left to the responsibility of the customer (as in, please take them with you when you leave. It is greatly appreciated.) Also, if you have a particularly large amount of books that you want to trade in, we would ask you to call ahead and make an appointment, so that we can serve you better and in a more timely fashion.

We are always looking for literary fiction, history, philosophy, eastern religion, poetry, modern cookbooks, quality art books and esoteric literature of any sort. We seek timeless books that people are still interested in reading and purchasing, so please keep that in mind when you bring in books for consideration. Thank you!
